On 19th April the area around the Expo Centre was glittering, later I came to know it was because of the whole glitterati of the Pakistan aka Pakistan Fashion and Film Industry, which was assembled for the Lux Style Awards of 2017. Many people commented that it was an evening of many firsts; Atif Aslam hosted the show for the first time since it started in 2002, Noman Ijaz attended the awards for the first time and most importantly the event packed up around midnight!
Also dubbed as Pakistani Oscars, LSA is the most important and prestigious award show for the Pakistani film and fashion fraternity. This year the show was directed by fashion icon Hasan Shahryar Yasin (HSY). Red Carpet commenced around 5 pm and was full of glam and glitz the film fraternity is famous for.
Aamina Sheikh was looking like a fairytale princess in her Saira Shakira ensemble.
Tooba Siddiqui was looking elegantly gorgeous in her Tina Durrani outfit.
I always feel that men look their best when they wear a tux and surely Mikaal Zulfiqar can compete with any Hollywood star in his white tux.
Sanam Saeed is featuring Elan on the Red Carpet and is looking gorgeously simple.
Though I am not a really big fan of Paris Fashion Week inspired starchy outfits but Zara Abid is surely rocking her Sana Safinas bottle green ensemble.
The show started with the National Anthem sung by none other than Atif Aslam himself. He was later joined by his co-host Osman Khalid Butt.
Mahira Khan and Osman Khalid Butt set the stage on fire with their Rap Battle (who knew Mahira Khan could rap this awesomely)
Maya Ali bags the best TV actress award for Mann Mayal and she’s looking like a dainty princess in her red Nomi Ansari gown, while the best TV actor award goes to Ahsan Khan for Udaari; the best TV play award goes to Dillagi.
