Those living in Karachi, know how to love this city. They try to do whatever they can to preserve the beauty this city holds. They deploy art and plant exhibitions to show their love. This time around, the citizens went on to next level by reusing the cable reels.
The campaign was sponsored by Pakistan Cables in collaboration with Karachi Biennale Trust (KBT). The public outreach project invited designers, artists and architectures to transform the reels with their drawings. They worked on sites across Karachi and engaged local community to convey their messages.
Each reel is depicting a different and unique message. They are talking about our history, culture, social issues and awareness messages. As soon as the campaign took to social media, users started appreciating it
The reels are placed at St. Patricks Cathedral, Beach Luxury Hotel, KMC Sports Complex, Zamzama Park, Orangi Pilot Project, Jinnah Hospital, Safari Park, Indus Valley School of art and architecture, Customs House, Alliance Francaise Greenwich University, Institute of Business Administration, Karachi Zoo, DA College for Women, Karachi Central Jail, Moin Khan Academy, Piler, The national Museum, The Civilizations School, Hill park and The Absa School.
